Remember those nude pictures of yourself.. ok semi-nude?
no clouds for them, they were called Polaroid’s
kept on earth in a drawer somewhere
I wonder what happened to them
I think they would look magnificent now
We had sexting back then, very salacious
in the back seat of a 67 chevy ‘two-door hardtop’
hands-on honest to goodness sexting..
imprinted on our memory banks
Drugs, of course! they were called diet pills
man we were invincible, work, chain smoke, and play
we could do anything, and losing weight by the minute
frantic activity, go.. go.. go until we
We had our own version of social media
party lines and extension phones
exposing our innermost secrets
‘on-line’ to our girlfriends, with mom, dad or the neighbourhood
Computers and email? na, just the whole set of world encyclopedias
introducing us to many hours’ worth of ‘look it up!’
teaching us how to read while discovering
a whole new universe, and snail-mail with our name on it?
now that was exciting!
We didn’t need Facebook, we participated in all things, in and out of school
we ‘interfaced with kids from all walks of life
and countries, we were the original ‘ melting pot’
just trying to fit in and be like everyone else
same as today
if those half nude photos surface somewhere
I give my permission to post them on Facebook and make sure to ‘tag’ me,
I looked hot and still am, only now it comes in flushes
