looming up ominously
another precious year
escaping my grasp
really?
my life achievements
my dreams of fame and fortune
lay still ahead
they should be
behind me
already
dammit!
my soul mate
languishing still
in some purgatory
seeking
my pent-up desires
but unaware of my existence
Shit!
my essays
brilliant and witty
have still not
made it into
the Globe and Mail
unacceptable!
will I ever
get published
somewhere
besides Facebook?
my brain says
get a life!
but my heart says
follow me..
without a love of something
