Coronation of a convicted felon

I will be taking a pass from viewing tomorrow’s Coronation of a twice-impeached, lying, cheating, and convicted felon being sworn into the White House. The world as we know it will take a turn for the worse once he’s ensconced into this powerful position. Keeping him company will be his circus of monkeys surrounding him with love and adoration.

He did not get the majority of votes from his country, although you would think he did, listening to him. Over half the country voted against him, between Harris 48.4% and three other parties 1.7% added together was a majority: against 49.9% Republican voters. So maybe keep that in mind when judging this country. It’s a deeply divided country for sure and it sucks that a crazy person will have control of the nuclear codes.

I’m Canadian and spend my winters here in the States. I love it here but I think a change is coming and it doesn’t bode well for the world as we know it.  It will be painful for all those who think this change in the administration is bringing in fairytale prices on food and gas. We have been paying over six dollars a gallon for gas for years.  Other countries are even higher.  America is going to get a wake-up call for sure.

While we’re on the subject of gas, the States imports over 58% of its petroleum from Canada. What would happen if we imposed tariffs on all that fuel being sent their way? hmm Contrary to what the orange-haired clown spouts off, the States and Canada are robust trading partners and we ARE NOT being subsidized. The wealth Canada possesses in land, resources, and minerals has only scratched the surface.

Okay so this is supposed to be my Funday Sunday blog, sorry about that.  The weather has been iffy, on the cold side but back home it was -31 yesterday and I’m not missing that one little bit. I took in the farmers’ market yesterday and got some great deals on fresh-picked produce. I’m sorta thinking about planting a container-type garden on my back patio. Tomatoes for sure and maybe a few other things.

Everything is outdoors here and the people walking around with toques on their heads and parka, and those in shorts and sandals were 50/50. You can tell the locals from the visitors, okay so I had on a jacket, it was a little chilly.  I wish they would get rid of all the bling tables… I can’t make myself stay away from those! It’s painful, and I did end up buying a pair of earrings, only one pair, thankfully I had some willpower.

I love all the fresh produce, and when I got home I chopped up the lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and fresh green onions and set the huge bowl in the fridge.  I did dip into it later on and wondered if I’ll be able to finish it all off before it dies in there.  I’ll send some home with my man, he doesn’t eat anything green but at least I won’t have to feel guilty if it dies in his fridge.

Lane Bryant also had a 50% sale and I had a coupon for another 25.00 off if I spent 50.00, lordy, lordy I’m such a sucker for sales. BUT, I got this really cute blouse and a warm pullover long-sleeved hoodie, well… it’s winter here, geez. It’s just nice to be able to walk around in sandals and I like to converse with all the vendors.  They have all kinds of organic veggies as well.

This farmers market was only maybe a mile from where I live, it was in the Yuma Palms. This is a huge outdoor mall with stores, Movie theatre, restaurants, and everything you could ever want or desire. It’s very beautiful with all the trees, and flower beds and fountains, and, and. well you need to visit here if you can.  Every day is sunny, Yuma has the most sunny days of any other city in America.

My book is finished but not edited or revised yet, this can take quite a while because I’m grammar and punctuation challenged. I also need to rearrange some chapters/stories, I will need help with this.  Meantime I’m having talks with someone to expand my blog and I’m quite excited about this. I love to write and it seems like I always have a story to share.

Stuff always seems to happen to me and the latest is my condo back home.  We have water radiator heat along the baseboards in our condos. My daughter and granddaughter spent the night there last night and guess what was leaking onto the floor and rug in my bedroom? Yep… the heater is dripping water, like wth?  It makes no sense to me, it’s not an old building.

I’m sure there will be a story to this when I find out what the heck is happening. If I need to go back home to deal with it I will and meantime… this too shall pass…

btw… hell is freezing over from the cold front coming in from Canada, for the Coronation tomorrow, sorry/not sorry, I couldn’t resist.

the end
