Hot, Hot and really Hot!

Hot, Hot, and really HOT!
Beware, x-rated content for some. I figuratively jumped out of bed this morning to write this blog. There were freezing temperatures in our weather forecast here and these two sayings hit me, “When hell freezes over” and “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned”. Well, me being a writer all sorts of thoughts were flying through my brain, and I needed to express them.
YESTERDAY the news was hot and heavy here in Yuma, Arizona. ‘Hell hath no fury’ immediately reminded me of ‘tRamp’—oops, I mean ‘tRump’—the ruling from that judge making him the first president of the United States of America to be a convicted felon, WOW! Then came the weather forecast for frost warnings here and how appropriate. tRamp, oops I mean tRump, was furious that his last-minute call to the Supreme Court asking them to postpone that convicted felon ruling, was ignored. “Hell hath no fury” reminded me of the convicted felon president-elect.
I wouldn’t want to be a clean wall in his dining room while he’s eating french fries, with ketchup, while watching that news… just saying. The part I enjoyed and wish I had taken a picture of was my TV screen. They put up a frowning ‘still’ of him with an American flag in the background and a convicted felon banner spelled out beneath it. They broadcast it at every commercial break. OMG, You had to be here, maybe the Canadian media picked that one up, I doubt it though.
I pity the Judge in that ruling, letting him get off scot-free without jail time, fine, or any punishment whatsoever. But, it was only 34 felony counts he was found guilty of (by a jury no less) so there’s that. I’m sure the convicted felon president-elect will figure out an appropriate way or means to make that judge’s life a living hell.
The convicted felon will be kept super busy once he’s sworn in. Pardoning all his ‘fellow convicted felons’ (who had to do real jail time) for January 6th. Figuring out the retributions he can inflict against anyone who looked cross-eyed at him these past four years, will take some time. Frost and snow in Arizona, and the worst fires in history, burning down huge parts of California in and around L.A. making it a living hell. Will he have any spare time for golf I wonder?
Jimmy Carter’s funeral also took up a lot of screen time this week and it was amazing, I learned so much about him. Being Canadian and not very political (ya.. that changed when I moved here for my winter getaways) it was such a relief to see how much goodness a former president (and his longtime sweetheart-wife) accomplished.
I know I should keep a low profile here in my ‘southern’ home BUT it’s hard. I just keep reminding myself that good always wins over evil AND over 75 million people voted against the ‘convicted felon’ president-elect, so I’m not alone in my feelings. There are a lot of folks having second thoughts about voting for him, Republicans included.
I can’t even begin to dissect or comment on the tRamp, Musk, and Bannon trio… I think that America is in for quite a ride.
The Circus is coming to town, and all I can do is thank god it’s not my circus and not my monkeys…
