Transitioning… ???

So here I sit at my computer contemplating what to write for my Sunday Funday blog. The delicious apple fritters to die for was my last blog and how to follow that one? hmmm Well, a little follow-up on that one. Making a trip to the foothills here to get another ‘fritter fix’ was a huge disappointment because if you do not get there by 8:30 am, (which I wasn’t aware of) you will be S.O.L. shit out of luck!

Long story short,  I made another trip the next morning, foregoing my early morning one-hour pool time for this dam fritter. OMG, the place was packed and had a line-up. It opens at 4:00 am and closes at 1:00 pm. Okay, so I bought six of them, lol. Well, ya never know when you may need a ‘fix’ right? Being the person I am, I love to share great food. I delivered a few around the park to those I thought needed a ‘pick-me-up’.

Mission accomplished and I managed to keep one for myself. Thank god they are huge, the one I saved for myself lasted me two days. I have a gf staying with me for a while and she was also a recipient of one of those delicious treats. While I’m out here on my patio writing my blog she is cooking breakfast. I’ve already put in my early morning pool exercise and she’s cooking breakfast for us… life is pretty dam good :  )

She is old too and also a Canadian ooops, she is much younger than me (had to put that in, she may read this: ) We are enjoying the sunshine and lamenting the cold back home. The cold snap at home in Saskatchewan was minus -50 temps!!!!! well, that has abated, and while in the pool this morning listening to my favorite radio station COOL 98 (on tuned-in radio) the weather forecast was for rain and plus 7 temps.

So… the weather report gave me hope that maybe I can transition back home sooner than expected. This directly flies in the face of us regularly getting a surprise snowfall on or into the May long weekend, but whatever.  The political landscape here has NOT abated, but there is a glimmer of sunshine on the horizon. American citizens are not taking well to the Elon/tRump marriage, and this gives me hope for this country. Democracy is worth fighting for, we all know that, and it should never be taken for granted.

So there you have it. Not a lot to share I know, but everything in my life is in flux right now.  The whole world is also in flux, so there’s that. I’m not sure what’s in store for me or what’s in store for the whole world for that matter, and that’s a wrap.

the end
